My Sims 2 Double Deluxe won't install all the way?

I've installed and uninstalled my game like 3 times because of the way custom content gets all screwy. But now I go and uninstall than put in double deluxe and it goes fine until 18% once the installer thing gets to 18% I get this message saying there was a problem transferring the file from the media and to retry or cancel. I've done both, restarted my computer and still nothing. Am i doing something wrong?
