Is my belly on infected or just healing?

i got my belly on peirced a week ago at tat 2 u in monroe and its a ring not a stud an dits a lil red and it has white scabs around it i clean it and i get the scabs off of it then they form right back. my mom says its not healing right and that it may be infected? is hse right and what should i do?
