I am stuck on a part on Call of Duty; world at war?

i am on the part you have to blow up the three 200mm guns with the satchel and whenever i throw the satchel onto the gold thing and press the trigger to activate the bomb, it wont blow up the 200mm guns................am i doing something wrong?......plz help me......be specific
